The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology prepares students for careers in design, development, manufacturing, analysis, field service engineering, purchasing, technical sales and management. The program provides a foundation in mathematics, applied science, circuit analysis, digital and microcontrollers systems and engineering mechanics. Students use hands- on projects to practice designing, building and testing. All students will complete a capstone course in which they propose, design, build, test and deliver a working electronic project.
Student Outcomes
Upon graduation, graduates will be able to
- Apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to computer systems and associated systems
- Design systems, components or processes meeting specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to computer systems and associated software systems
- Apply written, oral and graphical communication in broadly-defined technical and non-technical environment and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature
- Conduct standard tests, measurements and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes related to computer systems and associated software systems
- Function effectively as a member as well as a leader of technical teams

Notes
Students are required to complete FS-100 (Freshman Seminar) unless the student has transferred 15 credit hours or greater. A student may be required to complete MA-005, and/or MA-112, and/or EN-001.
