Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Master’s Degree Programs

Systems Engineering is an important area of study that focuses on systems management from start to finish. Systems Engineers work to develop integrated systems and manage them through their lifecycle - whether it be an electrical network in construction, a bio-database for scientific studies, flight navigation communications, or the online infrastructure of a computerized system. Companies need front-end and back-end engineers to create, manage, and secure these complex and information-rich systems. Students of this discipline will learn the organizational skills, management skills, and technical skills necessary to become a leader in the field and an asset to any employer. And with Capitol Tech’s unique resources, partnerships, and proximity to the nation’s technology hub of Washington, D.C. and the DMV, prospective students will find many internships and job opportunities available to them.

The M.Res. in Systems Engineering program is structured for those with experience, or established professionals, in the Engineering field with an appropriate degree. During the program, students will conduct original research in an approved area of Systems Engineering.
