AVT-244 is an advanced course designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to obtain an FAA Instrument Rating. This course builds upon the foundational training from AVT-242, focusing on the application of instrument flight rules (IFR) in various complex scenarios. Students will engage in extensive flight training, both in simulators and actual aircraft, to develop proficiency in flying solely by reference to instruments. Key topics include advanced IFR navigation using VOR, GPS, and ILS, executing precision and non-precision approaches, interpreting and making decisions based on weather information, and handling in-flight emergencies and system malfunctions. Flight instruction conducted at our partner location.  Aircraft hours: Dual-21. Lab fee: $6,500
