CRI 501 - Critical Infractructure Introduction 3 Semester Credit Hour(s)
The security and resilience of the 16 sectors of Critical Infrastructure is essential to the nation’s security, public health and safety, economic vitality, and way of life. This course will present an overview of the National Infrastructure Protection Plan – the unifying structure for the integration of existing and future critical infrastructure security and resilience efforts into a single national program. Students will learn the responsibilities of the federal government, state, local authorities, and private industry. The course will provide the skills and tools to effectively achieve results for critical infrastructure security and resilience through successful critical infrastructure partnership and collaboration. Relevant policies and guidance, risk management framework, federal Critical Infrastructure security and resilience, and information sharing programs will be covered in depth.
