First in a two-course senior design sequence focused on applied problem-solving in the field of aeronautics. Students work in teams to define a project scope, conduct background research, identify operational or technical challenges, and develop system-level design proposals. Emphasis is placed on project planning, literature review, stakeholder analysis, and preliminary design. Deliverables include a formal proposal, project timeline, and an initial prototype or conceptual model.
