The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) published the Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity (Framework). The framework describes a program that consists of standards, guidelines, and best practices to manage cybersecurity-related risk in critical infrastructure sectors. The primary focus of the course will outline methods to incorporate the framework to the nation’s Seven Critical Infrastructure Sectors. Students will complete an analysis related to the framework integration of the Chemical, Commercial Facilities, Communication, Critical Manufacturing, Defense Industrial Base, Government Facilities, and Emergency Services Sectors.
