IE 717 - Invent & Use Intellect Property

The Internet’s ability to share ideas between millions of people instantaneously, and the ability of Internet users to improve upon those ideas and share them with everyone on the Internet instantaneously, has challenged intellectual property’s status quo. This course examines the legal and regulatory limits of an e-business’s ability to exploit intellectual value in the new paradigm. In addition, the latest changes to intellectual property law and regulation as a result of Internet commerce will be examined.
